My favorite travel bra with hidden pockets

ExOfficio Quick-Dry Bra for Travel Give-N-Go

Quick-dry travel bra
Quick-dry travel bra

Features: ExOfficio is our favorite brand for underwear because their products are breathable and have a antimicrobial treatment, so their clothing keeps that fresh feeling for a more extended period.

These features are no different on this bra. Give-N-Go wicks moisture away, which is ideal after a long day traveling because it keeps you dry and comfortable, and it dries in no time.

The quick-drying feature, together with the odor-eliminating technology ensures you can wear it a few times before having to wash it, which significantly reduces your environmental footprint.

Furthermore, this ExOfficio bra is available in pink, coral, blue, black, nude, and white.

Pros:

  • Lightweight.
  • Moisture-wicking fabric.
  • Odor-eliminating technology.
  • Quick-drying.
  • Stretches to fit most bodies comfortably.

Cons:

  • No padding so it might show your nipples if you get cold.
  • Minimal support (for some women, this is a pro and not a disadvantage).
  • No pockets.

Perfect for: Women traveling to warm destinations, women packing light, or women traveling for longer than a week because they can pack fewer bras, wash it, and let it dry overnight.

Cosabella Racerback Bra

Fashionable travel bra
Such a pretty bra!

Features: Flattering and lightweight, this Italian bra is wireless, and unlike the previous one, it has a racerback design that makes it easy to match it with other blouses/dresses.

This bralette has floral lace with a scalloped edge that nicely peeks out of tops and t-shirts as it adds a feminine touch to any outfit, which obviously is a breathable fabric.

However, because only the bottom half of the cup has some coverage, it doesn’t offer much support, but this bra is very sexy though.

Pros:

  • Cute and flattering, racerback design.
  • Countless colors.
  • Quick-drying.

Cons:

  • Little support.
  • No pockets.
  • Straps are not adjustable.
  • No padding.

Perfect for: Women who don’t need much support, but would love to have a comfortable, breathable, and cute bra in different colors.

Material-wise, the FITTIN bra is a blend of nylon/polyester/spandex, hence why they stretch a lot and wick moisture away very well.

The Travel Bra Racerback Bra with Hidden Pockets

Travel bra with hidden pockets

Features: This item has less structure than the first travel bra on this list, which is from the same brand, but this model has a racerback design, and it’s a mix of nylon and bamboo.

Its anti-theft system is better than most bras, but not so good as the other bra of this brand I mentioned above. That’s because the pockets are a tad smaller so that a passport won’t fit in the hanging pocket.

Moreover, this bra has three pockets: a side sleeve to store cards, a drop-down one that folds back up under the lower band when not in use, and a lipstick pocket between the breasts.

Also, note this bra for travel is available in black, nude, and pink, and the cup has removable pads.

Pros:

  • Wide straps.
  • No under-wire.
  • Quick-drying and lightweight material.
  • Synthetic fabric air dries overnight.

Cons:

  • Pockets are a bit too small.
  • It doesn’t fit a passport.
  • Not suitable for activewear.
  • Not convertible.

Perfect for: Women who don’t need much support, but want the safety of having a few hidden pockets to store money.

What is a travel bra?

A travel bra is a bra that offers support and comfort while traveling. Sometimes it even comes with hidden pockets and compartments to stash valuables and documents.

Often, it looks a lot like a sports bra in its construction since most of them use wicking and breathable fabrics. Which is why your skin won’t sweat much even though you have objects next to your skin.

A bra like this is a travel essential for women as you keep your most valuable assets protected so that you know pickpockets won’t get to them.

Why do you need a comfortable bra for travel?

I could name lots of situations and reasons why you would need a bra for travel, but I’ll talk about the two most important ones: Convenience and safety.

Your passport, cash, and cards are right there next to your body whenever you need them. No need to dig into your backpack to look for them or to know they’re still there.

Also, this way, you won’t risk having all your money in your purse. You should never do that, no matter where you are.

I learned that the hard way and afterward didn’t have money to buy food until my flight would depart.
Learn from my mistakes, dear reader.

What are the key features you should look for in a travel bra?

The best travel bra for you might not be the best bra for travel for your best friend. Some models have broad straps, some have other fabric and materials.

Naturally, you should decide which one is best for you. And although there are different models with different pockets and stashes, some features are crucial and you should look for them in your bra: style, comfort, and fit.

  • Comfortable straps – This feature is not essential for women with small breasts, of course, but if you’re on the team of X or plus, support is vital to make you feel comfortable.
  • Anti-theft protection – Obviously, a no-brainer since that’s the whole point of having a travel bra with hidden pockets in the first place. Some brands have more compartments than others, so balance what you’d like to store in it before choosing one.
  • Quick-drying and breathable material – A travel bra should be breathable because you’ll store valuables (plastic or paper) near your skin, and it can get sweaty if the fabric doesn’t let your skin breathe.
  • Suitable for your activities – A bra for travel can serve different purposes, not only commuting. Do you plan on going hiking or exercising? Or maybe you’re planning on attending a music festival and will dance all day long. Either way, consider a bra with adequate support for the activities you’re expecting to do.
  • Colors – Your favorite color might be bright pink, but that wouldn’t look good with your plain white shirt. Choose versatile colors that go with everything, such as nude and black.
  • Convertible – Convertible bras give you more freedom when choosing your outfits. So be sure to check if you can convert the travel bra into a strapless one or if it is a crossover bra, which can give you more mobility, for example.

How to pack bras for travel?

Packing bras is a controversial topic. Some women prefer to stack them and tuck socks or underwear in the cups to help them keep their shape.

For expensive and delicate accessories, such as Victoria Secrets or similar, stacking your bras is the best way to pack them for travel. Combine this technique with a travel bra organizer to avoid having them crushed inside your luggage.

However, I prefer to twist the center of my bras and tuck one cup inside the other. Then I tuck some underwear and socks inside the cup and put them all in the smallest packing cube I have, and I’m ready to go.

How many days in a row can you wear a bra?

It depends. Are you traveling to a warm place where you’ll most likely sweat? Then you can wear your bra for one day only.

On the other hand, if the place isn’t so warm and you’re not going to hike or exercise, you can wear your bra for two-three days before you have to wash it.

Wrapping up on Best Travel Bras

Personally, I wonder why they didn’t create a bra for travel before. I particularly like the one with hidden pockets because I travel often to not-so-safe destinations, and that feature saves me big time.

Travel bras are useful not only to travel, but on the commute, in festivals, and in many other situations that you might need a pair of secret pockets or that extra support.

Either way, be sure to pick the one that suits your needs, and safe travels!
